Projektbeschreibung der*des Nominierenden
| Professor Karpenko is an internationally recognized expert in the field of algebra. His work focuses on mathematical objects such as algebraic groups and homogeneous spaces, quadratic forms, algebraic K-theory and central simple algebras. These objects are of central importance both to mathematics as a whole as well as to applications of mathematics to the natural sciences. During his stay in Germany, Professor Karpenko continues his research on p-incompressibility, descent and cohomological operations as well as the applications of these techniques to homogeneous varieties. |
